Course

5K Run - Scenic loop through flat, all paved waterfront/wooded trails and roads within Duke Island Park. One water stop.

Two Mile Walk - Two mile walk within the park. Suitable for strollers.

Kids’ Sprints - Ages 2 - 11, 25 - 200 yards.

COURSE DESCRIPTION -- All paved bike trails or park roads. Start and finish directly in front of the park office building.

5K Run: 14 & under, 15 - 19 to 70 & over (in 5 year groups)
Kid's Sprints: ages 2-11
Walkers: all ages, stroller friendly, dogs welcome


Awards

5K Run: Top 3 overall male and female, top 3 male and female in each age group

Kid's Sprints: #1 finisher ribbons for all kids

8:45 AM - Aerobic Warm-Up
9:00 AM - Fitness Walk (2 miles)
9:45 AM - Aerobic Warm-Up
10:00 AM - 5K Run

11:00 AM - Kids’ Sprints
11:30 AM - Awards

Important Note: Parking is limited and it is advisable to arrive one hour before the event to provide ample time for parking and check-in. The walk starts at 9:00AM and the 5k run will start promptly at 10:00 AM.

The Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children

The Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing a variety of services to youth and young adults at risk of homelessness or maltreatment.

Somerset Home offers a range of programs including the Brahma House and Street SMART Street Outreach Programs, Pathways Life Skills Education and Outreach, Passages Transitional Living Program, My Place Transitional Living Program and Whitney House Transitional Living Program.

Over 500 children, teens, and families are assisted by the seventy Somerset Home staff members each year.

Located in Bridgewater, NJ, the Somerset Home provides services throughout central New Jersey.
